And the winner is…
Congratulations Ricky Gervais for winning “Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series” for “Extras” . Good job Ricky! not really movie related, just wanted to show our support for such a brilliant comedian, actor and writer. Our hats off to you sir.
Wild Hoggs
Travolta, Macy, Allen, Liotta, Pretty amazing cast right? What on earth were these people thinking? I just don’t get it! Billed as an action / adventure comedy, this movie falls so short on all 3 descriptions. The action is predictable, the comedy is none existent and the adventure is, well, lets just say “not so adventurous.”
I find it difficult to believe how you could put these huge name stars into one movie and come out with such a terrible release. The cliché riddled, homophobic snore-fest that is Wild Hogs fails at everything it tries to accomplish. The jokes are either homosexually related or just not funny, at all…
Halloween
A Rob Zombie remake packed with blood, violence and boobs. I wasn’t exactly psyched to go and see this film but alas, I did and it actually wasn’t all that bad.
The movie seems to spend most of its time on the young Michael Myers (Tyler Mane) background, really developing his character and not really detracting from the overall plot only to do a “10 years later” on us. We have a good idea by now of what this guy is capable of after some of the brutal scenes leading to his loony bin lockup….. Read more

First Born
Boy was I looking forward to this one! Lets begin with a brief plot outline; nothing actually happens. I have to admit, I only got 50 minutes into this film before turning it off and rinsing my eyes with bleach. This movie is plain awful. 50 entire minutes and no characters are developed, no story has begun, no build up, no suspense, horrible sound effects, wooden acting, hardly any dialog what so ever, long cut scenes of a dog walking around, the list is endless.
I cannot give this film a fair review as I haven’t watched it in its entirety thank God, but if the first half is anything to go by I bet I can predict its outcome… Read more
Lucky You
I was shocked to find out that around 10 years ago Curtis Hanson gave us one of my favorite movies ever made: LA Confidential, only to contribute something as poor as Lucky You into the current movie meat market. And Eric Roth who brought us Forrest Gump, writing this catastrophe, what is happening to the world!
This film was billed as a romantic comedy and even has Drew Barrymore staring in in it, what could possibly go wrong? Well, this entire movie felt like a poker tutorial. Eric Bana playing “Huck” was dreadful. I lost count how many times he was explaining the ins and outs of playing poker… to the camera! Read more
