Reign Over Me

Reign Over Me Independent Movie ReviewAdam Sandler’s finest movie. A real tear jerker. This is one of those films that practically forces the tears out of your eyes, I haven’t actually shed a tear over any movie as far as I can remember until I saw Reign Over Me. The movie is split into two storylines, Don Cheadle playing a dentist with a controlling wife and Adam Sandler playing the role of a post traumatic stress victim due to the events of 9/11 killing his entire family.

As the story unfolds Sandler really defines his character, his heart wrenching story really hit a nerve with me and I felt a lot of sympathy and anger whilst watching the movie, again, I cannot recall ever being so emotionally involved with a film. Read more

This is England

This is England Movie CoverQuite possibly the best British film in years. The acting, plot, script everything works, and works very well. Spiderman 3

Spiderman 3 movie CoverWhere to begin? After the light-hearted yet great action-packed first two movies, what were we to expect for the third movie? Apparently the movie was marketed as the “darkest” of the three, seemed to promise more action, especially when combining three villains from the comic books.

But as a fan, I went to the theater to see the movie, And the reviews and critics were right. The movie tries to do too much and in the end disappoints. Read more

Transformers

Transformers CoverA blast from the past with the typical Michael Bay twist. As excited as I was to see this movie, I walked into the theater with baited breath.

This movie takes no time to get started, introducing the young and highly talented Shia LaBeouf playing the role of Sam Witwicky, A role he plays to perfection. Without Shia I feel this movie would have been a complete disaster, he truly does steal the show for me. Read more
