Violence, explosions and gangs, oh my! An FBI Agent (Jason Statham) seeks vengeance on a mysterious assassin known as “Rogue” (Jet Li) who murdered his partner. Going in to see Jet Li & Jason Statham movie I knew exactly what to expect. The plot is very basic but a couple of big twists really stir things up in this one.
Expect to see an awful lot of blood, big Hollywood explosions and even a few ninjas! Jet Li was almost boring to watch this time around, His characters are always the same, his acting is dull and he is incapable of creating any on-screen chemistry with whoever he’s working with. This is a mans film. They should serve beer and nachos during it. It’s exactly what you would expect from looking at the movie poster, long drawn out sword fights with plenty of banter in between, some great car chases and even some of the most random boobs I’ve ever seen in a movie, not that I am complaining, they were quiet remarkable boobs.
If you want a guys night in and there is no Football on the TV, grab yourself a copy of War, some cold beers and your set for around 90 minutes of what us guys like best(!).
If your looking for a decent movie with a believable storyline, solid acting, great cinematography and fluffy bunnies, this movie is most certainly not for you. I’ll give War a not so impressive 5/10 (would have been a 4 but the random boobs saved the day)
